What are few of the “must sees” in Egypt?
Annie asked:
I’ve only got approximatly 2 weeks in March to go there. I’ll be traveling from New York….I suppose, I don’t NEED to get a visa beforehand. Has anyone here taken the cruise packages vacations before?

WE WENT TWO YEARS AGO ON THE NILE CRUISE AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE, THERE ARE USUALLY TEN EXCURSIONS INCLUDED IN THE TRIP AND THEY ARE ALL WORTH GOING ON ESPECIALLY GOING THROUGH THE SAHARA DESERT TO ABU SIMBEL. THE TOUR GUIDES ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR HISTORY AND MAKE IT VERY INTERESTING FOR YOU. IT WILL BE A HOLIDAY YOU WILL NEVER FORGET AND I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS WE DID, WE ARE EVEN THINKING OF GOING THERE AGAIN NEXT YEAR.

if you are going on a cruise package you will be taken to most of the upper nile sites with the cruise. If you are spending time in cairo as well. you must see
giza pyramids
egyptian museum
khan el khlili at night ( shopping area)
more time in cairo then go to saqarra and dashur,
in luxor after you done the cruise sites e.g. valle yof the kings and queens deir el bhari and karnak i would reccomend.
medinet habu
rameseum
valley of the nobles choose 3 main tombs
deir el medina

you do need a visa before you arrive in egypt.
in cairo, you have to see the pyramids and the sphinx.
you can go on nile cruises , a visit of khan al khalili which is a gold and souvenirs market.
you can go to luxor and aswan , and take a nile cruise to or from one of these cities.
you can go to sharm or hurghada on the red sea and enjoy sea activites .
